Dairo 88/100 Robert Parker!

The 2011 Dairo is a blend of Garnacha, Carinena and Syrah aged for six months in French oak barrels. It has a very perfumed, fragrant nose, full of notes of violets, smoked bacon and tar that remind me of an elegant Northern Rhone red. The palate is medium-bodied with some grainy tannins that would benefit from powerful food or some time in bottle (or both!). The price is just unbelievable! 300,000 bottles produced. Drink now-2016.
